This is the official New York City release party for a free three part mixtape “The Live Trilogy”. J-live will be performing tracks from the new album as well as some of the classics. Supporting artist for the night will be Von Pea of Tanya Morgan, Oddisee of Diamond District and Boog Brown. This will be Boog Brown’s first performance in New York City. The mixtape series promotes J-Live’s upcoming album SPTA (Album drops 9/27/11) The first mix “The Live Identity” is available free download.

This mixtape is the first installment of “The Live Trilogy”. The Live Identity is a collection of J-Live songs, old, new, rare, hot and classic. The tracks range from the first singles of the mid 90s to the new single for the upcoming album “S.P.T.A. Said Person Of that Ability”. S.P.T.A. hits the web and stores everywhere 9/27/11. Like the album and the “Undivided Attention EP” before it, “The Live Identity” features the hip hop triple threat as a three man group (Emcee/DJ/Producer). J-Live’s long awaited 5th full length album “S.P.T.A. (Said Person of That Ability)” was slated to be available worldwide on August 23. S.P.T.A. is the follow up to , last winter’s 6 song EP, “Undivided Attention”. S.P.T.A. is now set to be available September 27th on vinyl, CD and digital download.
The album will be preceded by a series of mixtapes titled “The Live Trilogy” The first of this series, “The Live Identity” has been rescheduled for release as a free download on August 2nd.
Previously scheduled release parties, in Atlanta on August 19th and New york City August 23rd, will now coincide with the release of the second mixtape in the series.
